Summit-U Services: National Night Out - August 5, 2008
This year marks the 25th anniversary of National Night Out's celebration of neighborhoods and communities. The event strengthens communities by:
- Heightening crime and drug prevention awareness;
- Generating support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs;
- Strengthening neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and
- Sending a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
Numerous National Night Events are scheduled in our district each year. We post them on our calendar - be sure to let us know of events planned in your neighborhood.
