Summit-U Services: Neighborhood issues meetings

Every month, the Neighborhood Development Committee holds a public meeting to discuss issues affecting our area. Topics may include:

  • Minor Saint Paul Zoning Code variance requests , such as allowing additions to existing single family homes, certain types of fences and similar issues.
  • Major Saint Paul Zoning Code variance requests, such as a Conditional Use Permit to allow for a specific activity on a property, or a substantial variance in the amount of parking requested for a new building.
  • Certain license applications for businesses, such as liquor licenses.

Following each meeting, the Summit-U Board of Directors reviews the community input and forwards recommendations to the City of Saint Paul for final action. In some cases, no city government action is required and the Board will act on those requests in accordance with each issue.
