About Summit-U: Neighborhood History

Our neighborhood is one of the oldest in Saint Paul, and brings with it

a rich history of the people and events in our area. Materials available from the Saint Paul Public Library include Days of Rondo, Jimmy Griffin, a son of Rondo and many other interesting works.

The Ramsey County Historical Society maintains a brief History of the Summit-University Neighborhood. The Minnesota Historical Society maintains a Visual Resources Database that allows users to search for historic pictures of our neighborhood, as well as period art and other resources.
