About Summit-U: Board committees

If you're a Summit-U resident, we invite you to volunteer to work with our Board through one of these committees:

Communications and Outreach - Brock Obee, Chair
This committee helps us to stay in touch with Summit-U residents through our Front Porch newsletter, Porch Lite e-newsletter, media contacts and the Web.

We are always looking for residents who want to write for our publications or send us story ideas. We also ask Summit-U businesses to consider sponsoring our newsletters. If you are interested in volunteering for this committee, contact us to learn more.

Community Improvement and Safety - Rena Moran, Chair
This committee helps neighbors with information about crime prevention, block clubs, and community information sessions.

We need volunteers to support this committee's work in a variety of ways including joining and forming block clubs, distributing information, and keeping us informed about what's happening in neighborhoods.

Neighborhood Development - Jeff Gardner, Chair
This committee obtains information regarding pending development proposals in our area, especially any issues which may require a change in zoning, a zoning variance, .or a conditional use permit. You are invited to attend the committee's monthly Community Issues meeting to provide your input on the topics at hand.

If you would like community input on a proposed new business, a garage variance or other such issues, review the Community Issues Meeting Guidelines and contact the office to submit your information.
