About Summit-U: Board of Directors

2008 - 2009 Summit-U Board

View the complete Board of Directors member list and learn how the Board committees work with you to serve our community.

The Board meets on the 4th Tuesday of the month. Board meetings conform to the Open Meeting law, meaning that they are open to the public. They are not, however, public forums.

If you have business to bring before the Board, submit your item(s) to the office for inclusion in the meeting's agenda. Items should be submitted the week before the meeting.

Governance

The Summit-U bylaws state that the Board of Directors can have a maximum of 25 members, consisting of up to three representatives each from the six sub-districts; two at-large; and five who represent organizations.

When there is a vacant slot, citizens can petition to be added to the Board. If there are more interested citizens than there are available slots, alternates can be designated.

Elections are held yearly in May. Directors are elected to either a 2-year or a 1-year term.
